DMG of Luton is introducing new levels of simultaneous five-axis contouring precision in a futuristic design for machining materials as diverse as hardened steel, aluminium, copper and graphite
Added productivity is achieved through high speed 80m/min linear drive and high speed 28,000revs/min spindle technology. The portal concept of the latest Deckel Maho DMC 55V linear vertical machining centre also delivers a large working volume of 450mm in X by 600mm in Y by 400mm in Z. Developed using thermo-symmetric techniques, the machine has direct drive torque motors providing simultaneous swivel and rotary table movement of the 400 mm square clamping surface unit with direct measuring systems to ensure the most accurate positioning and repeatability.
