The Takisawa Taiwan EX-322 turning centre is the latest model in the comprehensive Takisawa Taiwan range, and it reinforces how the machines demonstrate 'Japanese quality at Taiwanese prices'
The EX-322 - a three-axis version of the highly successful EX-122/H - boasts C axis and driven tools, and its outline specification includes a swing over the bed of 750mm, over the cross-slide of 560mm and a distance between centres of 1,820mm. Standard turning diameter is 450mm, maximum turning diameter is 610mm and maximum turning length is 1,530mm.

A range of high specification, competitively priced turning machines include short and long-bed versions with Y-axis, sub-spindle and driven tooling
The Spanish manufacturer CMZ is to launch a range of high-specification, competitively priced turning machines at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition. The CMZ TC range includes 45 models, including short and long-bed versions with Y-axis, sub-spindle and driven tooling, in chuck sizes from 150mm up to 500mm.

Wire EDM machine has a 40% increase in structural rigidity and includes twin-servo wire tension control reduces the number of mechanical parts by some 35%
The 600 Centre will be showing the Fanuc Alpha OiD wire EDM machine at MACH 2008. The company said the Alpha OiD has an increase in capacity, making it the largest working volume in its class. It offers faster automatic wire feed and improved thermal characteristics. An increase of some 40% to machine rigidity and the addition of twin-servo wire tension control reduces the number of mechanical parts by some 35%.

UK machine tool distributor will have 18 machines on show at MACH 2008, representing 5-axis machining, turn-mill centres, vertical turning, horizontal and vertical machining and low cost lathes
C Dugard will have 18 machines under power at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition. They will cover 5-axis technology, turn-mill centres, vertical turning, horizontal and vertical machining centres (VMC and HMC) and a wide range of low cost turning machines. Based in Hove, UK, C Dugard said it will be their largest ever presence at an exhibition, providing 'a something for everyone' display - including golfing enthusiasts.

CNC lathes will off 12 drivel tool stations - at up to 7kW and 5,000 rev/min - in its VDI turrets for milling operations and off-centre drilling on turned parts
Hurco Europe will be launching its TMM8 and TMM10 CNC turning centres at the UK's MACH 2008 machine tool exhibition. Hurco will show its TMM10 on its stand. The machine has, in addition to its standard 2-axis turning capability, live cutters in each of 12 VDI tool positions. Driven tool power and speed are up to 7kW (peak) and 5,000 rev/min respectively to enable milling operations and off-centre drilling on turned parts.
