For producing straightforward parts of medium complexity, Tornos has introduced the Delta 20/5 CNC automatic lathe, built by Tsugami for 12-20mm diameter turning.
Tornos has introduced its the Delta 20/5 machine at the recent Siams 2008 exhibition It is the first of the Delta range designed for the production of straightforward parts of medium complexity
The machine is the first result from Tornos group's partnership with Tsugami.
The Tornos automatic lathes manufactured by Tsugami ihave fewer machining axes when compared with Tornos' existing machines.
The Delta series feature 3-, 4- or 5-axis in diameter capacities of 12mm and 20mm.
The manufacturer is launching no fewer than nine new products.
Siams represented the first stage on an itinerary that will see these machines presented in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the USA and Asia.
The first machines will be delivered to the customer from September 2008 and the lead time during this period is planned to be less than a month, said Tornos.
The Delta machines are equipped with straightforward Tornos features (quality, precision, and ergonomics) and are in a different price range when compared with Tornos' more elaborate CNC automatic lathes.
This new range of straightforward machines is sold with a minimum of options.
Tornos told manufacturingtalk that this is a significant difference with regards to other Tornos products where it is very often possible to 'build' one's own customised machine.
The Delta range is a tailored response to very specific market requirements.
Customers enjoy all the benefits of a straightforward and reliable machine for trouble-free production of simplistic to medium complexity operations.
