TORNOS DECO 26a
The exterior guarding has been redesigned, not only from an aesthetical point of view, but to provide the best access to the work area for the operators. All Tornos machines have been ergonomically designed to allow full access to the tooling area. This not only aides the operator but improves swarf clearance.
The counter spindle ballscrew assembly (X4/Y4/Z4) has been improved in line with application requirements and has been taken from the new DECO 42f. Its diameter is now 32mm and features the patented design of ballscrew compensators to cope with small shocks.
These advancements do not change the capability of the DECO 26a in any way, as the axis configuration remains the same. All the tooling equipment, options and devices currently available remain completely unchanged.
The additional advancement on show from Tornos will be the new S6 motorization for platen 1. This will give the operator additional machining capability for the front platten by allowing two driven tools to be mounted. This complements the driven capability already installed on the rear platten. So it will be possible to even further improve production times by simultaneously drilling and milling from opposite sides, or just give even more power tool facilities. The high frequency NSK spindles (options 2000 and 2100) are not required on X1/Y1.
All machines delivered after SIMODEC will be the new DECO 26a with the S6 driven tool facility. A retrofit is available for those with the current DECO 26 versions.
