ZEUS S External and non-round cylindrical grinding machines
For the processing of small cams, crank and eccentric shafts the new ZEUS S offers a complete processing in a clamping of round and non-round contours as well as pre and finish grinding with different grinding-specifications. Non-round workpieces with grinding-lengths to 300 mm, 345 mm oscillating circuit diameters and a workpiece weight to 10 kg represent the ideal work field for the ZEUS S .
The convenient table sledge machine with a sub-structure of polymer concrete captivates with their compact design and the easy operating. A slideway guided Z-axis with ball threaded spindle and hydrostatics in the X-axis are the basis for high-precise grinding results.
The high speed technology and the commitment of galvanic- and ceramically bound CBN grinding wheels of 200 mm diameters allow an unchangeable grinding wheel surface speed to a maximum of 120 m/s. The arrangement of the dressing device at the workhead allows a good part accessibility at the short grinding lengths.
The pendulum shift machine ZEUS S refuses onto expensive clamping solutions and manages with easy centrical clamping devices. In addition the commitment of CBN grinding wheels opposite the conventional grinding brings a considerable productivity advantage and the necessary flexibility which the fast changing market from today expects.
