V77 MAKINO Vertical machining center
The V77 is the newest addition to Makino's V Series lineup that features the V33 and V55 vertical machining centers for high-speed, high-accuracy and high-quality machining performance.
The V77 is designed for machining small to medium-sized plastic molds and die cast dies for automotive parts and the components of home appliances and office automation machines. It is also perfect for machining the components of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and for precision parts machining, among other applications.
1. High-performance spindle
A standard feature of the V77 is a high-accuracy, high-speed spindle that shows little thermal distortion and vibration even at high operating speeds.
(Either a 12,000 min-1 No. 50 or a 20,000 min-1 No. 40 taper spindle can be selected to match specific machining jobs.)
2. Highly stable machine accuracy
The table (Y-axis) accommodates loads weighing up to 2.5 tons. Because the machine is constructed without any overhangs, accuracy is unaffected by weight shifts.
The entire machine is enclosed in a splash guard and heat-shielding covers to prevent shop temperature changes from affecting the machine directly.
3. Enhanced chip removal efficiency
Nine chip troughs located directly under the table work in concert with three built-in high-speed conveyors to remove large chip volumes quickly and efficiently from the machine.
4. Energy-saving and space-saving design
Stand-by power consumption has been reduced by 30% compared with Makino's existing vertical machining centers and the V77's footprint is 40% smaller.
5. Excellent operating ease around the table
The front door and ceiling of the splash guard open together to create a large opening for easy loading and unloading of large workpieces.
At 850 mm, the height of the table surface allows setup tasks to be done easily in a natural posture.
The distance from the machine front to the edge of the table is just 210 mm for excellent workpiece accessibility.
