MVS-C Hydraulic Guillotine Shears
A simple, efficient design using a new cutting beam driven by double acting pull down hydraulic cylinders provides accurate cutting and reliable operation.
A welded construction creates structural rigidity and a strong, robust unit. The rugged design of the frame and cutting beam combine to provide maximum resistance to deflection and torsional force, ensuring optimum cut quality.
MVS-C shears are equipped with adjustable rake angle and blade gap adjustment features that provide the flexibility to cut a range of material thicknesses, permit narrow strips to be sheared with minimal distortion, and reduce burrs. The ability to minimize rake angle also allows the speed of the machine to be increased for greater productivity in certain applications.
Each blade of an MVS-C shear has four cutting edges and can be turned three times before grinding, minimizing maintenance and ensuring long production life. The lower blade is mounted to a blade holder that is fixed to the table of the shear. As a result, the minimum desired blade clearance can be adjusted accurately over the whole length of the shear, allowing cutting of light sheet metal without burrs. After grinding, the blades can be adjusted perfectly without shimming.
The control panel of the MVS-C shear is mounted on a swivel arm for easy access and features a simple push button control to adjust rake angle, blade clearance and cutting length.
Optional items such as sheet supports and scrap selector provide additional productivity.
